 Students will understand how to relate the current events to Haiti, to the other events.
 Students will know the current event in Haiti.
 Students will be able to express their knowledge and opinions in class discussions.
 Maine Learning Results: English/ Language Arts: A3 Informational Texts: Students read multiple informational texts, within a grade appropriate span of text complexity, making decisions about usefulness based on purpose, noting how the text structures affect the information presented.
  1. Create and revise questions that can be answered by using text structures and information found within texts.

Hook: There will be collages of news articles and students will work in groups to find the theme of the collages.
